Will Aerovoyce and BSNL magic work?

Customer loyalty will be the key as Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) Aerovoyce needs to focus on the right customer segmentation and leverage on BSNL's mobile infrastructure

In the month of July 2017, AdPay Mobile Payment, the digital payment provider active in India, Europe, USA, Middle East and Australia will launch India’s first MVNO by the brand name Aerovoyce by partnering with BSNL. The service will initially start from Tamil Nadu and Chennai circle. In the next three months, the focus will be on next circle and within a year the service will be operational in all the 22 circles of India.

Talking about MVNO plans, Sivakumar Kuppusamy, Founder & CEO, AdPay Mobile Payment India said, “In terms of investment, the company is planning to invest around Rs. 300 crore in the next 3 years. The company is focusing on 2-3 per cent of total mobile population and is focusing on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.”

In Tamil Nadu, the company is planning to focus on 25-30 cities and for pan-India, the company is planning to launch mobile services in 500 – 600 cities added Kuppusamy.

In the first year, Aerovoyce is looking at adding around 10 lakh customers from mobile services and in the second year the focus is on other services like Internet and IoT (Internet of Things) services for smart cities, agriculture, automobile and others.

Speaking about the tie-up, Anupam Srivastava, CMD, BSNL said, “The company has netted revenue of Rs. 10,000 crore from mobile services and the company is targeting at Rs. 500 crore from MVNO service in the first year.”

We look forward to offer a superior telecommunication experience to our valued customers who can choose from an affordable plans to get the fantastic digital experience.”

The company is starting with mobile services but later on Aerovoyce will launch broadband, landline and VSAT services added Kuppuswamy. Aerovoyce will offer voice, data, mobile value added services (VAS), integrated wallet/payment solutions and entertainment contents through phone, online, kiosk and select retail stores across India.

Affordable plans, digital experience, innovative segmentation and BSNL infrastructure will be the key for Aerovoyce and other MVNOs who plan to tie-up with BSNL.
