Tally Solutions has launched its latest release in the GST ready suite, Tally.ERP 9 Release 6.2 to provide a one-stop-solution for filing GSTR 2 returns.
Tally. ERP 9 Release 6.2 includes all changes proposed by the government in the GST council meeting that was held on October 6, 2017. These changes have been adapted into the software to provide a seamless experience to the users. Close to 6 lakh unique businesses filed GSTR 1 returns through Tally.
Commenting on the occasion, Bharat Goenka, Managing Director, Tally Solutions said, “With Tally.ERP 9 Release 6.2, we expect that we will dramatically ease the way people can complete their GSTR-2 obligations, as well as their ongoing invoicing and compliance requirements. The product has been designed to save time and effort for GSTPs and bring them on the same page with their clients. Books of accounts and returns must reflect each other for complying with GST and our latest release is built on this foundation.”
In order to be eligible for Input Tax Credit, correct filing of GSTR 2 is critical. This can be difficult for businesses who continue to work on traditional methods of accounting and filing, which do not support storing of data at one place. In this case, ensuring accuracy and security is difficult as errors can crop in resulting in incorrect filing of returns. Therefore, it is imperative for businesses to adopt a robust technological solution to effectively resolve any mismatches in sales and purchase.
The company has continued to price GST ready Tally.ERP 9 Release 6.2 at Rs. 18,000+GST for a single user edition and Rs, 54,000+GST for a multi-user edition, the same as earlier. However, most of Tally’s existing users will be able to upgrade to this release free of cost.
