Nine new faces in Narendra Modi cabinet

In the latest cabinet reshuffle of Narendra Modi government, Nirmala Sitaraman has been made Minister of Defence; Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Minister of Coal; Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of Minority Affairs.

Alphons Kannanthanam from Kerala has been made Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Tourism and Minister of State in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Hardeep Singh Puri has been given given Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Raj Kumar Singh has been appointed Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Power and Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Dr. Satya Pal Singh has been appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Minister of State in the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.

Ashwini Kumar Choubey from Bihar has been appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Pratap Shukla has been appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance.

Dr. Virendra Kumar has been appointed as Minister of State in the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Minister of State in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Anantkumar Hegde has been given Minister of State in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship whereas Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was made Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
