MiTac Holdings invests in Infopower Technologies

MiTAC Holdings Corporation (MHC) is planning to invest in Infopower Technologies and will become one of its largest shareholders.

The synergy of MHC’s investment will bring diversification and growth to Infopower business in India’s electronic business sector. MHC will also provide the technology, products and manufacturing of embedded computing, PoS and auto electronics to Infopower.

With this investment, MHC will gain a foothold in the Indian market and the JV will focus on manufacturing PCB, PCBA, Digital Dashboard, Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and others by setting up two manufacturing facilities in Noida. MHC paves its way into the Indian market by investing in sales, R&D and manufacturing for IoT, auto electronics and digital algorithm. The JV will also sell PoS terminals in the Indian market.

Infopower’s manufacturing plant is located in Noida is an ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 certified and UL approved. The company engages in the fabrication of PCB, PCBA and electronic products.

In the month of August 2017, MiTAC Holdings Corporation (MHC) and Infopower Technologies had announced a definitive agreement in which MHC will invest in Infopower and will become one of its largest shareholders.

Infopower is part of Sahasra Group which was conceived in the year 2000 and is providing end-to-end electronic solutions from design to manufacturing to distribution. The Sahasra Group has 4 manufacturing plants situated in India, Rwanda and Africa and is one of the leading exporter of electronic products and services.

With 510+ people across its businesses, the Sahasra Group sales turnover is around $25 million.

The MiTAC Group is an affiliate of the MiTAC-Synnex Group. In addition to MiTAC, there are other listed companies in the group, including the Synnex Technology International Corporation, UPC Technology Corporation, Lien Hwa Industrial Corporation and GETAC.
