JBM CITYLIFE ‘Low Floor Air-Conditioned’ city buses manufactured by JBM Auto for Delhi are equipped with modern technologies like real time passenger information system (PIS), panic buttons for emergency, automatic bus vehicle location system, CCTV cameras, public address system, stop request buttons etc.
Real Time Passenger Information System shall keep the location of the bus updated for the passengers travelling in the bus.
Safety features such as CCTV cameras have been installed inside the bus that will aid uninterrupted surveillance of activities inside the buses. Passengers can use the stop request button to alert the driver to stop the bus at the next bus stop.
JBM CITYLIFE bus has also incorporated features such as vehicle health monitoring system, fire detection & suppression system and public address system.
Today, 100 low floor air-conditioned CNG JBM CITYLIFE city buses were flagged off from the Rajghat Bus Depot by Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi.
The low floor CNG AC bus service has been rolled out under the cluster scheme for the first time in New Delhi and will be in service from today onwards. The Transport Department, Govt. of Delhi will be rolling out a total of 400 such buses in various phases across the city.
JBM CITYLIFE buses are the first ever low floor buses rolled out by Transport Department, Govt. of Delhi till date. The CITYLIFE buses have been successfully plying in Gurugram, Noida and Greater Noida for over 2 years now and are also in operation at the Delhi International airport.
