In the first six months of 2017, Huawei generated revenue of $41.8 billion, an increase of 15% over the same period last year.
Huawei Consumer Business Group has grown by 36.2% year-on-year to $15.6 billion thereby contributing 37.3% to the overall group. Smartphone shipments also rose to 73.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%.
Huawei claims to have achieved solid growth across all three of its business groups in the first half of 2017 and the company is expected to maintain its current momentum in 2017.
In carrier business, Huawei continues to help global carriers drive digital transformation in all industries. The company is focusing on collaborative innovation in 5G and seizing key opportunities arising from video, B2B, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Huawei is set to grow its expansive retail network, reaching 56,000 retail stores worldwide by the end of 2017 – an increase from 35,000 in May 2016.
