Gwalior working on mobile based citizen service delivery

Gwalior Smart City Development Corporation Limited (GSCDCL) has floated an RFP for implementation and operation of mobile based citizen service delivery and collaboration platform for city of Gwalior.

The mobile app for Gwalior city will have one integrated app under “One City One App” which will integrate existing and future citizen centric mobile applications in various service delivery areas like health, education, tourism and safety & security. The app will develop three mobile applications – Gwalior Paryatan Application, Blood Bank Management System and Sakhi (Women Safety) Application.

Gwalior Paryatan is a mobile application which will provide information on tourist spots in Gwalior and will focus on transport services (bus stops, local tempos and cabs), hotels/guest house (nearby hotels with contact information for making the bookings), restaurants, travel agency/tourist guide, hospitals, police stations, temples, cinemas, malls and others.

Blood Bank Management system is designed to store, process, retrieve and analyze information concerned with the administrative and inventory management within all the blood banks of Gwalior. This system aims at maintaining all the information pertaining to blood donors, different blood groups available in each blood bank and help them manage in a better way. This system is developed to manage the blood stock in the “Blood Banks of Gwalior district”.

Sakhi Application is a multipurpose android application dedicated for women safety.

As part of the delivery of the solution it is expected that the winning bidder shall provide live support for the solution for 3 years following project completion.

Considering the increasing penetration of mobile technology among the masses it becomes imperative to leverage the mobile platform to provide accessible services to citizens. One City One App solution is going to be one-stop solution for Gwalior citizens and tourists to access city specific services using smart phones. The app will be developed both on Android and iOS platform and will support both Hindi and English.
