
Greenday Farmer Solutions, NoBroker and UrbanClap has won the PAN-IIM Alumni Startup Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards 2017.
Greenday Farmer Solutions and NoBroker has won the Promising Startup Award whereas UrbanClap has won the Startup Star Award.
The Startup Awards were given by Prof. Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh; K. K. Sharma, higher education secretary, ministry of HRD, government of India; Prof. Ajit Prasad, director, IIM Lucknow and Justice Rajesh Tandon, former judge, Uttarakhand High Court and chairman, jury panel at the 5th PAN-IIM World Management Conference on the theme “The Making of Digital India: Management Perspectives” at IIM Lucknow.
Greenday Farmer Solutions aims to build a tech-enabled rural logistics model so that quality agriculture inputs and rural household products can be home delivered to all in rural areas through a combination of localised retail stores and village level entrepreneurs. The company is working to establish a fast, efficient and profitable rural logistics solution. In future, the company is planning to launch a mobile app for farmers and will connect them to farmer stores for advise, purchase and delivery.
NoBroker.com connects residential house owners directly with buyers/tenants, without any broker in between. It is the world’s largest customer-to-customer real estate marketplace with 30 lakh customers. NoBroker has global ambitions and plans to expand in top global city in the next five years.
UrbanClap is a mobile marketplace for local services to hire trusted professionals for all their services need be it getting a plumbing job, improving fitness through yoga, learning to play guitar, decorating home and getting photos clicked for one’s wedding. In 3 years, the company has partnered with 100,000 verified experts, initiated 107 live services and have served 3 million customers in 8 cities.
PAN-IIM chose the best digital startups from verticals such as agriculture, citizen services, education, electronics manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and ICE services. IIM Alumni Startup Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards 2017 were decided on four criteria – Innovation and technology, exemplary courage/risk taking, display of successful implementation skills and customer/social/financial/economic impact.
