
Facebook has reached a new milestone and now connects 2 billion people every month globally.
According to Mark Zuckerberg tweet “As of this morning, the Facebook community is now officially 2 billion people.”
As of Facebook Q1, 2017 report, Facebook had a monthly active user base of 1,936 million whereas its daily active user base stood at 1,274 million. In terms of monthly active user, Asia Pacific contributes the maximum at 716 million, followed by Rest of World at 632 million, Europe at 354 million and US & Canada at 234 million.

In terms of revenue break-up, majority of its revenue comes from advertising. Advertising contributes $7.86 billion (as on Q1, 2017) i.e. 97.9 per cent. In terms of region, US & Canada contributes maximum revenue followed by Europe, Asia Pacific and Rest of World.

There are now 2 billion people connecting and building communities on Facebook every month and this wouldn’t have happened without individuals who have been sharing information with their friends and families every day.
Each day, more than 175 million people share a Love reaction, and on average, over 800 million people like something on Facebook. More than 1 billion people use Facebook Groups every month.
