Currently serving 12,000 subscribers in Kanpur and 6,000 subscribers in Lucknow, the company is eyeing to reach out to 50,000 customers by 2021. With an effort to meet the growing demand for broadband services, Excitel has commenced operations and rolled out affordable robust plans without FUP limits in the cities.
Commenting on the launch, Vivek Raina, Co-founder & CEO, Excitel said, “Uttar Pradesh is one of the most promising markets and we are elated to begin operations in the capital city of Lucknow and Kanpur. During the COVID-19 lockdown, there has been an exponential rise in the need for internet connectivity as the majority of populations are currently operating from home. Businesses, students and households are relying majorly on internet services for their day to day activities. With an aim to meet this huge demand we have aggressive plans of getting the world-class FTTH services at affordable rates in the western belt of UP.”
“We aim to go to every underserved area of tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 cities which till now have been mostly neglected by telcos. We at Excitel believe in eliminating digital exclusion and are therefore committed to bringing high speed, 100% FTTH services at affordable rates to all areas of the city,” added Raina.
More than 50% of Excitel’s current sales is FTTH and by the end of 2020, we would be selling only FTTH services. Excitel is currently delivering 600 Gigabits of data over a massive fiber network of 20,000 km including partners’ networks to close to 3.9 lakh households across India.
