Dimension Data has announced the successful implementation of the digital infrastructure for Avantika University in Ujjain.

Dimension Data has designed and deployed the university’s new infrastructure, and will also manage its IT assets and landscape, underpinned by advanced cybersecurity technologies.

Avantika is promoted by the MIT Group of Institutions, Pune with a vision to create a unique design ecosystem in central India. The spirit of creativity and innovation, complemented by design thinking and intellectual boldness is the central theme at Avantika. The university has chosen both physical and digital infrastructure to support this.

Avantika is conceived to be a distinctive learning centre of India, that provides a comprehensive platform to develop the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.

Dimension Data has implemented a combination of latest technologies such as the Unified Threat Management solution and Hyper Converged infrastructure, to help the university reduce costs by 20% in the first phase.

Avantika University can now enjoy a scalable IT infrastructure and offer better facilities to students, simultaneously ensuring that its intellectual property is always secure through the backup, recovery, and disaster recovery built-in to a hyper converged environment.

“Avantika has a strong vision to nurture and cultivate young minds who will serve as enlightened citizens, bringing a positive change in the society. The Dimension Data team understood our vision and IT roadmap, and conducted detailed sessions with our technical team to better help us embark on a successful digital transformation journey. We were also able to reduce complexities, save time and costs with Dimension Data as our end-to-end IT service provider,” said N Sivaramakrishnan, Head – ICT, Avantika University.

“Technology is evolving and has transformed every sphere of life and the education sector is no different.
