
Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises has signed an MoU with the Department of Education, Government of Assam to support 45 government schools in the districts of Jorhat and Majuli under its Satya Bharti Quality Support Program.
The MoU was signed by Aruna Rajoria, Mission Director, Axom Sarba Siksha Abhijan Mission, Govt. of Assam and Mamta Saikia, COO, Bharti Foundation.
As part of the MoU, Bharti Foundation will partner with Education Department, Govt. of Assam to strengthen initiatives in holistic improvement of school quality. Through joint discussions with the school leaders and education department officials, Bharti Foundation will partner government initiatives to improve the overall quality of learning experience for students in the identified government schools based on Satya Bharti Schools’ learning practices to improve the overall school performance.
Mamta Saikia, COO, Bharti Foundation said, “With the Satya Bharti Quality Support Program, we aim to work with school leaders to enhance the overall schooling experience for all stakeholders in these Government schools. Our holistic development approach and school improvement plan involves working in close coordination with Educationists and officials in Education Department of Assam and we look forward to working with them towards strengthening their existing education initiatives.”
The Satya Bharti Quality Support Program will help in improving the education process in Meghalaya and provide teachers – knowledge & skills and students – a quality education.
