
Microsoft Accelerator’s tenth cohort, comprising 14 start-ups, graduated at the Summer 2017 edition of Think Next, in Bengaluru.
The cohort underwent an intensive 14-week program at the Microsoft Accelerator in Bengaluru to increase their Enterprise Readiness Quotient. The 14 startups are Acebot, Active.ai, FirstHive, Heckyl, Karomi, Lavelle Networks, LetsTransport, QuestionPro, Sigtuple, Syscloud, Tricog, vPhrase, WittyParrot and Zenatix.
Think Next Summer 2017 saw keynotes by Team Indus on ‘Mission to Moon‘, and Everwell on ’Scaling to the next Billion’. One of the highlights of the day was a session where Microsoft presented a well curated set of startups, to a select audience of investors and corporate leaders under Microsoft Accelerator’s Market Access Program initiative.
K.R. Sanjiv, Chief Technology Officer, Wipro said, “How Wipro has introduced MA portfolio companies such as CustomerXPS, CloudCherry, Altizon, WittyParrot and Vymo to Wipro customers and solution teams to create joint propositions. Wipro has seen good synergies between the startups at MA and its customers, because of the enterprise focus of the startups and quality of their innovation ‘Hackathon for India Stack’ BY Microsoft and Accenture.”
Microsoft also showcased the winners of the ‘Hackathon for India Stack’, which was held in partnership with Accenture. The winners were chosen from a pool of over 200 registered teams. The hackathon invited participants to solve social problems using India Stack. The hackathon was judged by a panel including: Bala Girisaballa; Avnish Sabharwal, Managing Director, Ventures & Open Innovation, Accenture; and Sanjay Jain, Fellow, iSPIRT.
As alumni, the start-ups will continue to be supported by Microsoft Accelerator as strategic partners, on unparalleled global market access, corporate connect and technology advancement.
Commenting on the graduation, Bala Girisaballa, CEO-in-Residence, Microsoft Accelerator said, “Having been mentored by a team of accomplished experts & having gained hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure, the start-ups are now looking to explore larger markets and work with the best in the industry. We are extremely delighted to see some great results from this batch. I wish the graduating batch the best of luck for their future endeavours.”
